The short version: KeeKom has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and does not store what you type. Typing is processed on your device. If you turn on cloud translation, only the sentence being translated is sent over an encrypted connection, then immediately discarded.

Text you type with the KeeKom keyboard is processed on your device to convert romaji and suggest kanji, emoji, and translations. It is not stored beyond your typing session. Your personal dictionary, saved phrases, and settings live only on your device.

KeeKom for Slack is installed by a workspace, not by an individual account. For each workspace we store the Slack team id and name, the bot token, the install date and the plan. For each person who opens the KeeKom App Home we store their reading language, sending language, register, strength and voice, plus a monthly count of translations. While a translation preview is open we hold the text you typed and the current translation, so that changing a dial can rewrite it in place. That record is deleted the moment you press Send or Discard, and any preview left open is deleted automatically within 24 hours. We do not read, receive or store the rest of your Slack conversations, and KeeKom only ever posts the one message you approve.

Translation is carried out by AI providers acting on our behalf: Anthropic (Claude) and, as a fallback, Google (Gemini). Only the text being translated and the language and register you chose are sent. Your name, your Slack identity and the surrounding conversation are never attached. Our servers are hosted by Hostinger. Payments for paid plans are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card details. We do not sell or share your text with anyone else, and we do not use it to train models.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchases can be restored through Apple on any of your devices.
